Tasting Notes

It has a ruby-colored, clear, and lively appearance. The legs are closed; low viscosity indicates a light body. On the nose, it feels like a dream of red berries, especially raspberry and strawberry jam on first impression. If you decant the wine for two to three hours, vanilla aromas begin to emerge. These are related to the direct fermentation process and Patkara’s phenolic compounds.

On the palate, the tannins are round and smooth—subtle and crisp. The lively acidity feels energetic. When paired with creamy, spicy, and oily foods, the wine does not get lost beneath the meal, though balance should be considered. The alcohol level does not feel high or warm.

A delicate soul with unexpected strength, driven by its 14% alcohol. Overall, the quality of production appears very good. I recommend trying this wine; it is one of Anatolia’s cultural heritages. This is the reawakening of Patkara. It deserves to be celebrated.
